Paying Weekly vs Monthly

April 7th, 2014 at 03:53 am

I've been paying certain bills monthly and others weekly.

Example:
Timeshare: $85.07/mo balance = $4,855.55
currently I'm on track to pay this off in 7 years. No sooner, no later. Next payment is due on the 27th Apr.

car loan: $194.33/mo. I pay weekly instead $48.58. Looking at the account I am, at this moment the next payment is due 19th Jun.

So instead of it being paid off in Sep 2017 it looks as if it'll be paid off by Jan 2017.

I think it's better to pay something off weekly instead of monthly whenever possible.

Hey Sian. First, thanks for the breakdown of my previous reply/comment. About the only suggestion I can offer is "get a new attorney and find some way to get out of paying for your ex-husbands debt". It looks as if if that is accomplished, things may brighten/lighten a bit. Best of luck to you on this journey. Keep your faith and perserverence. It will pay off.

thanks. i'm in the process of taking my parents off as co-signers on all of the loans. once that's done then i'll proceed with having him pay those debts instead of me. either way they'll be taken care of either by paying them off or getting them off my budget.

    thanks!
